raven RAVEN 1911/MEU GBB Pistol (Silver|Black)

Externally constructed almost entirely from alloy, with the exception of the textured Pistol Grips for serious grip and control, this Airsoft MEU Series 1911 is a modern update of an old classic.

At the very front of the pistol barrel, we have a 12mm counterclockwise thread for use with thread adaptors such as the Raven thread adapter to allow for a variety of tactical muzzle devices such as silencer and tracer units depending on your playstyle, either you prefer to be the stealthy spec-ops type, or a more aggressive gunner, whatever suits you or the mission most.

Moving to the slide of the 1911, it showcases the classic no-frills design, but with a couple of tweaks to bring the pistol closer to the present day in the form of cut grooves at both the front and rear of the slide, allowing for additional grip, gloves or not. The grooves also slightly reduce the slides weight, and facilitates quicker cycle rates.

Sticking with the modern design, the trigger is skeletonised with three holes drilled which helps reduce weight, but is done mainly for aesthetics and to complete the style of the pistol.

The pistol features a heavy duty all alloy construction, with polymer nozzle and magazine base plate. The alloy construction and weight results in a firm and satisfactory recoil action every time you pull the trigger that lets you get lost in the operator role. 

This Airsoft pistol features an adjustable Hop-Up unit which can be accessed when the Slide is split from the Frame for cleaning, and is designed to add range and accuracy to the pistol by imparting spin on the BB, giving you shooting options depending on the skirmish. 

The grip panels of the 1911 are a modern design, with added texturing to ensure you have a good grip on the pistol in any weather condition, either with or without gloves. The triangular indentations add to the sleek, modern design, coloured slate grey to match the spec ops style look.

Two safety systems are built-in to the pistol; the right handed manual safety, and the beavertail grip safety. The manual safety can be found at the rear of the frame, on either side of the pistol, and sits comfortably beneath the shooter's thumb for fast access. When not in use, this safety can also be used as a "gas pedal" style thumb rest to help control the muzzle climb and assist in rapidly aiming at multiple targets. This safety can be activated whether the pistol is cocked or not by flipping it up with the thumb into the recess on the left side of the slide. With the safety on, both the trigger and slide will be locked. The secondary safety, known as the "beavertail grip safety" is a hallmark 1911/Hi-capa feature, and disables the pistol from firing unless the safety is depressed and the pistol is gripped properly. This prevents negligent discharges during drawing or inserting into from a holster and encourages an efficient and effective shooting grip. The beavertail safety can be found at the rear of the grip and can be deactivated by holding the pistol with the protrusion pressed in.

The Hop-Up unit can be adjusted to accommodate for a wide range of BB weights. The Pistol features multiple safety features, including a trigger disconnect safety built into the extended beavertail grip to prevent the weapon from firing when held improperly, and a trigger lock safety to prevent accidental discharge whilst in holster, however this latter feature can only be activated when the weapon is cocked. At the base of the grip we can see a lanyard loop, allowing lanyards to be used, preventing the loss of a weapon should it fall out of a holster. 

An modernised version of an old classic, this is the perfect pistol for any Airsoft skirmisher who wants a update looking 1911 pistol, or for those who are looking for a pistol which supports CO2 for the colder winter months.

Special Instructions

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.
